🌿 English Explanation
In this verse, Lord Krishna gives us a simple but very meaningful message. He explains that a person who sees the presence of the Supreme Lord equally in all living beings does not intentionally hurt or mistreat others. When a person understands that God is present in every heart, feelings such as hatred, jealousy and unnecessary anger slowly begin to decrease.
In our daily life, we see many differences between people. Some people have more money, while others have less. Some are highly educated, while others have received fewer opportunities. Some live comfortably, while others face many difficulties. We also see different forms of life, including human beings, animals and birds. Although these beings appear different from the outside, Lord Krishna teaches us to recognize the Divine presence within all of them.
When this understanding becomes part of our life, our behaviour also starts to change. We become less likely to look down upon someone because of their financial condition, appearance, social position or circumstances. Instead, we begin to treat others with kindness and respect. Helping someone who is in need can also become a way of expressing our devotion to God.
The verse says that such a person does not harm the Self through the self. In simple words, hurting others through hatred, cruelty, dishonesty or unnecessary wrongdoing also affects our own mind and character. Wrong actions often bring restlessness and regret, while good actions can bring inner satisfaction and peace.
This teaching is especially useful in everyday relationships. In a family, people may have different opinions. In society, people may have different backgrounds, beliefs and ways of thinking. We do not have to agree with everyone, but disagreement does not need to become hatred. When we try to see the Divine presence in others, we can become more patient, respectful and understanding.
Lord Krishna concludes by saying that a person who sees the Supreme Lord equally present everywhere moves toward the supreme destination. This means that such a person gradually rises above selfishness and unnecessary hatred and moves toward a deeper spiritual understanding.
The simple message of this verse is that we should respect every living being, avoid causing unnecessary harm, and try to recognize the presence of God in everyone. When this understanding grows within us, our life can become more peaceful, compassionate and devoted.
